Cyberpunk 2077 Aiming For Late 2016 Release – Rumour

CD Projekt RED's next big title "more than likely" heading to PS4 and Xbox One along with PC.

Cyberpunk 2077

Take this with an enormous grain of salt but according to an unnamed source that spoke to Gamereactor Germany, CD Projekt RED could be aiming to release Cyberpunk 2077 in late 2016. The game is currently in development for PC with PS4 and Xbox One versions “more than likely”. Interestingly, it also states that either Sony or Microsoft could look into making it exclusive.

We’re sceptical of the report for many reasons of course – though CD Projekt RED said that most of its studio is now working on Cyberpunk 2077, it also talked about staying committed to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt throughout 2016. It also stated that 2017 would be the year that it focused on Cyberpunk 2077 though aside from the upcoming expansion Blood & Wine for Witcher 3 in early 2016, there really hasn’t been much indication as to what CD Projekt RED will do next.

What are your thoughts on the report? Could Cyberpunk 2077 indeed release in late 2016? Let us know what you think in the comments.
