Having announced their new streaming-based platform Stadia, Google will obviously be looking to attract the best and biggest names in the industry and have them declare support for the platform. And at this moment, there are few names that are bigger than Cyberpunk 2077, or CD Projekt RED.

And the two parties are already in talks with each other. During their latest financial call. the Polish studio revealed that it was in talks with Google regarding support for Stadia, but that they didn’t have anything concrete to announce just yet. Could this mean that Cyberpunk 2077 might end up releasing on Google’s platform as well? It’s certainly a possibility, but for now, that’s all it is.

Meanwhile, the developer also spoke a bit about the game’s marketing which is bound to kick up a notch, with its release presumably being not too far away (though no release date has yet been announced). CD Projekt RED confirmed that they’d be following a similar marketing model for Cyberpunk 2077 as they had done with The Witcher 3, which means that a large sum of marketing for the game will be funded by those publishing the game in various regions- which means Bandai Namco in Europe, and Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment in North America. However, thanks to the expansion of the digital side of the market and the larger number of sales that will be coming through it, CDPR expects those financial requirements to be less than they were for The Witcher 3.

In the same financial call, the studio also talked about its plans for E3 2019, which it says is going to be the biggest show in the developer’s history. Meanwhile, they’ve also shed some light on what’s next for them after Cyberpunk 2077, with another project already being in development. Read more on that through here.
