Cyberpunk 2077 Livestream Teases “Data Transmission in Progress”

CD Projekt RED's mysterious and sudden stream has already drawn a sizable audience.

cyberpunk 2077

Fresh off the news that its game is playable from start to finish, CD Projekt RED has launched a strange new stream for Cyberpunk 2077. If you were to head over to Twitch now though, you wouldn’t see much aside from random letters and numbers in rows flashing across the screen.

It’s hard to say what this stream could be revealing. Perhaps the E3 2018 behind-closed-doors gameplay demo? Maybe a new trailer? It’s hard to say if the company’s significant development milestone is directly related to this sudden stream. It’s certainly no coincidence. Keep in mind though – even if the game can be played through to completion, there’s still tons of bug fixes, optimization, and testing that needs to be done, which can take a lot of time.

CD Projekt RED had a rather tame presence at Gamescom 2018, releasing new screenshots and concept art for Cyberpunk 2077, but little else. Some of that concept art contained hidden messages, so maybe this upcoming announcement is in relation to that. What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments below.
