CD projekt RED is known as a developer that is committed to delivering high quality single-player experiences. However, with Cyberpunk 2077, many fans have also been wondering if there will be a multiplayer component to the game. It looks like the developer is currently looking into that possibility as of now, but they have stated that such an option won’t  be available at launch.

In an interview at E3 Coliseum, the developer stated they wanted to nail down the single player first before they start looking at the multiplayer component. It seems then that completing the single-player game first takes top priority. It is possible that they may release a multiplayer option after the game’s launch, but at launch, we will be receiving just the single-player experience with Cyberpunk 2077.

Of course, given the developer’s track record, we can expect the single-player experience to be absolutely fantastic. If a multiplayer option is added later, it will just be an added bonus to a potentially great game.

Do note that this doesn’t mean that a multiplayer component is confirmed for the game (or denied) at this point. Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
