Cyberpunk 2077 - Phantom Liberty

CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty kicked off the Xbox Games Showcase Extended. Quest director Pawel Sasko provided a new look at the Black Market at Dogtown, the new location in the Pacifica District of Night City. Check it out below, courtesy of IGN.

Thanks to no corpos or taxes, the Black Market provides access to unique weapons and cyberware you can’t get anywhere else. There’s a guy with flamethrower arms, Dogtown leader Kurt Hansen giving some propaganda, and various items stockpiled. Players can find new illegal weapons and goods, some extremely powerful but also more dangerous.

Phantom Liberty adds some new abilities for V to unlock, like air dashing, seeing enemies through walls, and even changing their appearance. There’s also Barghest, Hansen’s militia which is way more brutal than Night City’s police. In an interview, Keanu Reeves, who plays Johnny Silverhand, says that Dogtown goes to a “darker place” and that there’s an “undercurrent of violence.” He has some things in common with Solomon Reed, as the latter is trying to reclaim his life (much like Johnny). Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is out on September 26th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC.
