CD Projekt RED announced Cyberpunk 2077 years ago, but since then, there’s been nothing but radio silence on their end. You’d think that after such a long wait, we would have a release date in sight- but that isn’t the case, unfortunately enough. Polish site Puls Biznesu recently held an interview with Adam Kiciński, the president of CDPR, during which he confirmed that there is a long wait ahead before the studio finally announces the game’s official release date.

The interview is in Polish, but as per a rough translation, Kiciński said that CD Projekt RED are not going to announce a release date this year (which makes sense, this year is almost over), or even the next, which means that at the earliest, we’re going to get an announcement in 2019. He said that commenting on speculation in the market is not something that the studio wants to do.

He also recently confirmed that development on the game is moving along nicely, contrary to some reports that are making the rounds, while also confirming that work on the game’s engine has been completed.

You can read the full interview through the link at the top of the post- of course, you’re going to have to make do with a rough Google Translation (unless you know Polish, that is). Stay tuned to GamingBolt for continued coverage on the game.
