After announcing a couple weeks back that Cyberpunk 2077 would be distributed in North America by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, CD Projekt RED have now sent out a press release to confirm that the game will be distributed by Bandai Namco in select European countries.

Just as it was with Warner Bros. in North American markets, CD Projekt RED and Bandai Namco have collaborated for the distribution of the former’s games in European markets in the past. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt were both distributed by Bandai Namco in Europe.

“Select” European countries refers to 24 countries, to be more precise, which includes (but is not limited to) the United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Germany, Iceland, Sweden, Switzerland, and Norway. “Our current distribution partnership with Bandai Namco is built on the strong foundation and trust developed during our previous projects,” said CD Projekt RED SVP of business development Michał Nowakowski. “We’ve successfully cooperated on The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and I’m convinced Bandai Namco will take good care of Cyberpunk 2077.”

As for when exactly Cyberpunk 2077 will come out, that’s anyone’s best guess at this point. CD Projekt RED have confirmed that they have every intention of launching the game on current-gen consoles, so that’s something, at the very least. In related news, recently, Cyberpunk 2077 level designer Miles Toast spoke to us about if we can expect to see emergent gameplay mechanics in the upcoming RPG, and whether The Witcher 3’s “visual downgrade” drama had any impact at all on CDPR’s decision to reveal Cyberpunk 2077’s 50 minute gameplay demo.
