Devolver Digital

Devolver Digital loves doing weird stuff, and that’s not going to change anytime soon. Exhibit A: the indie publisher has announced a new stream for next week, which will be entirely focused on announcing delays until 2024 for games that were previously scheduled for this year.

Devolver made the announcement with a recent post on Twitter. Called Devolver Delayed, the stream is set for Monday, August 7, at 8 AM PT, and will highlight games “that are courageously moving into 2024.” That’s certainly a unique way to talk about delays for a publisher in the games industry, but we’re always down for Devolver’s off-beat approach, so sign us up for whatever this show is going to turn out to be.

In June, the company held its annual Devolver Direct, where we received new looks at upcoming games like The Talos Principle 2 and Wizard with a Gun, among others. Currently, Devolver has a number of games lined up for release in 2023, but there are some that we haven’t had any updates on for a while that might take the spotlight in next week’s delay announcement stream, including the likes of The Plucky Squire, Skate Storyand Pepper Grinder.

Either way, we’ll know more soon enough, so stay tuned for further updates.
