Cyberpunk 2077 had a major, major presence at E3 this year, essentially getting re-revealed with not just a trailer, but also a behind-closed-door demo of the game shown to members of the press. It was mind blowing, and ever since, people have been incredibly hyped to see and hear even more of the game.

Earlier, CD Projekt RED had indicated that the game might be present at Gamescom as well, and while we might still be hearing something about the game at the event in Germany later this month, you shouldn’t expect to see a playable gameplay demo or brand new gameplay.

The game’s official Twitter account has recently confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will not have a public booth at Gamescom this year. So… yeah, kinda disappointing, but I have to say, not entirely unexpected. The demo shown off at E3 may have been excellent, but CD Projekt RED have stated very clearly that the game is still only in pre-alpha development, so it may be a while yet before we see any concrete new stuff on it.

Gamescom will take place in Cologne, Germany between August 21-26. As for when Cyberpunk 2077 releases- well, we don’t know. It doesn’t have a release date (or even window) yet.
