Dying Light 2 Stay Human is finally available after years in development and thus far, the overall player numbers are good. It’s hit an all-time concurrent player peak of 274,983 on Steam which is already several times higher than the original. That being said, there are still a number of issues.

Along with co-op problems, fans have been complaining of motion sickness due to the lack of an FOV slider and motion blur. Lead designer Tymon Smektala addressed the same on Twitter, noting that, “We’re fixing the coop issues first, the demand broke Sony/Microsoft/Epic sewers. Motion sickness will be addressed in the first upcoming patch. FOV + motion blur will be considered for the next.”

On Xbox Series S, the game runs in 30 FPS – a pretty big step down from the Xbox Series X which supports 4K and 60 FPS modes along with ray tracing. Smektala noted that the frame rate “will be locked at” but currently, “the console’s GPU is holding us back.” Optimization on PC has also proven an issue on PC based on Steam user reviews but there are also a number of gameplay-related bugs to sort through. Stay tuned for more details on patches in the coming weeks.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human is currently available for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. Check out our official review here for more details.
