EA Sports FC 24 is set to be unveieled sometime this month, but ahead of that, new details on the title have been emerging through leaks. Recently, prominent leaker billbil-kun claimed that the football sim will launch in September, and now, in a new report published on Dealabs, they have potentially revealed the cover star for this year’s game, and when exactly it will be revealed in full.

Though Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe adorned the cover of FIFA 21, FIFA 22, and FIFA 23, it seems the Frenchman won’t be making it four years in a row with this year’s game. Instead, according to billbil-kun, Manchester City striker Erling Haaland will be the cover star for EA Sports FC 24. Given how crucial the talismanic Norweigian striker was in the English club’s historic Treble, that doesn’t come as a massive surprise.

While Haaland will be the sole cover star of EA Sports FC 24’s Standard Edition, according to the leaker, he will also be accompanied by 30 other male and female football stars from the past and present of the sport on the cover of the Ultimate Edition. These 30 players will allegedly be represented through in-game renders, and will include the likes of Vinicius Jr., Sam Kerr, Zinedine Zidane, Pele, Johan Cruyff, and Son Heung-min.

Finally, it’s also been claimed that EA Sports FC 24 will be officially unveieled on July 13, which aligns with previous leaks of a mid-July reveal, and, of course, what the publisher itself has previously indicated. Pre-orders for the game will also allegedly go live on the same day.

As per previous aforementioned leaks, EA Sports FC 24 is set to launch on September 29, with those who purchase the Ultimate Edition getting early access on September 22. Stay tuned for official details in the coming days.
