Square Enix have released a new video today called, “Orience News: Combat Special” and it comes in the form of a quasi-news presentation.  The video serves as a look inside the game, but more specifically at how the characters do combat and level up, raising the strength of their skills as they do so.

It gives a quick overview of how the games party based combat system works, quickly detailing the “break sight” attack and the “kill sight” attack, which is a one hit kill on the foe.

Further into the video, you will get information on how your team functions as a unit with the various classmates swapping in and out upon the elimination of another. It also highlights the classes various abilities. It also covers the Fire, Lightning and Ice magics that the characters can cast in an offensive role. It briefly covers the Triad attack as well as the suicide sacrifices that allow players to summon massively powerful creatures. All in all, a very solid video.
