Gran Turismo 7

Gran Turismo 7, like its predecessors before it, has kept up a healthy cadence of post-launch support, with new cars, Scapes, courses, and more being added to the game on a near-monthly basis. July has, of course, gone by with no new updates for the racing sim, though we now know whe exactly that next update will be arriving.

Taking recently to Twitter, Gran Turismo series producer and Polyphony Digital boss Kazunori Yamauchi confirmed that GT7’s next update will arrive on August 7. The update will add four more cars to the game’s ever-expanding roster of vehicles, and Yamauchi has, as always, teased what these four additions will be with an image showing their silhouettes.

There’s the Toyota GR Corolla, which won’t be purchasable in-game through Brand Central until September and will only be usable in Sport Mode for the the 2023 Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup until then. The other three vehicles will be the Maserati MC20, the 1958 Chevrolet Corvette, and the Toyota Hiace (thanks, GT Planet).

Stay tuned for more details on what else the update will add. Gran Turismo 7 is available on PS5.
