NetherRealm Studios’ Mortal Kombat 1 has received tons of buzz after its announcement trailer and the first gameplay video. There’s plenty of hands-on footage and even an online stress test that recently concluded. Fortunately, fans can look forward to more en route to the pre-order beta in August.

Series co-creator and creative director Ed Boon announced on Twitter that another gameplay trailer is coming “soon” with reveals for even more main and Kameo fighters. How soon is “soon” remains to be seen, but sometime this week seems reasonable. Thus far, NetherRealm has confirmed Liu Kang, Raiden, Kitana, Mileena, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Kung Lao, Johnny Cage, Reiko, Kenshi and Shang Tsung are playable characters.

As for Kameo Fighters, Sub-Zero, Goro, Stryker, Kano, Jax Briggs and Sonya Blade are confirmed. Mortal Kombat 1 launches on September 19th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch. Post-launch, players can expect even more characters, with Peacemaker, Omni Man, Homelander, Ermac, Quan-Chi, and Takeda rumored.
