NetherRealm Studios has announced that its online stress test for Mortal Kombat 1 will run from June 23rd, 8 AM PT, to June 26th, 8 AM PT. Sign-ups are available here, though a Warner Bros. Games Account is required, and access is not guaranteed.

The stress test is only available for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S players, and NetherRealm clarifies that this is not a beta. “The purpose is to deliberately stress our online infrastructure and identify potential issues ahead of the game’s launch.” It’s also unrelated to the upcoming beta in August (so pre-orders don’t get access to the stress test).

It’s also available only for players in North America, Europe, Brazil and Latin America. In terms of content, you can expect 1v1 online matches and a single-player Klassic Towers mode with AI fights (though it’s “limited”). Eligible participants should receive invitations on June 21st.

Codes are redeemable before the test starts, but you can’t download the latter beforehand.

Mortal Kombat 1 launches on September 19th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch. Head here for more details and here for new raw gameplay.
