It was recently confirmed that characters from Amazon’s acclaimed TV series The Boys will soon be added to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, but it seems Call of Duty might not be the only game with that crossover under its belt this year. Leaks have previously claimed that The Boys’ psycopathic and unhinged take on Superman, a.k.a. Homelander, will be a post-launch guest character in the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1, and it seems that is indeed going to be the case.

Though WB Games and NetherRealm Studios are yet to make any official announcements regarding the same, the official TikTok account for The Boys, dubbed Vought International Studios, seems to have made the confirmation nonetheless.

On a TikTok post for the aforementioned Call of Duty crossover, responding to a comment that touched on the Mortal Kombat rumours, the account simply wrote, “MK confirmed”.

Shortly after Mortal Kombat 1’s announcement in May, a premature Amazon Italy listing leaked details on the game’s post-launch roster, which will seemingly include six characters- three gues fighters in The Boys’ Homelander, DC’s Peacemaker, and Invincible’s Omni Man, and three returning Mortal Kombat characters in Ermac, Takeda, and Quan Chi.

Recently, WB Games unveiled a new gameplay trailer for the fighter, confirming Rain and Smoke for the main roster, and Cyrax, Sektor, and Frost as Kameo fighters. New story details on Rain and Smoke have also been revealed.

Mortal Kombat 1 launches on September 19 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
