NetherRealm Studios and WB Games are ratcheting up the marketing for Mortal Kombat 1 in anticipation of its launch on September, having revealed a new gameplay trailer earlier this month, and of course, there’s plenty more waiting in the wings. It was recently confirmed that the upcoming fighter would have a panel at San Diego Comic-Con this Friday, and now, series creator Ed Boon has offered some details on what to expect from it.

Taking to Twitter, Boon confirmed that the Mortal Kombat 1 panel will feature three new trailer for the highly anticipated reboot, showing new gameplay and some “surprises”. What those surprises will be remains to be seen, but given that this is happening at Comic-Con, we wouldn’t be surprised to see an official reveal for the game’s leaked post-launch DLC roster, which is allegedly packed with plenty of popular comic book characters.

Additionally, many of Mortal Kombat 1’s voice acting cast and members of its development team will also be in attendance at the panel, while a “making of” video will also be shared to offer more insight into the game’s production.

The panel is scheduled for tomorrow from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM PT.

Mortal Kombat 1 launches on September 19 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
