Persona 3 Reload was one of the bigger reveals at the Xbox Games Showcase (despite leaking days beforehand). It’s a ground-up remake of the original PS2 title, with a new voice cast and some story elements from Persona 3 FES. There are also a host of improvements for systems like Social Links.

4Gamer (via Siliconera) recently interviewed P-Studio’s Kazuhisa Wada, Ryota Niizuma and Takuya Yamaguchi, who revealed that you weren’t originally supposed to max out Social Links in one playthrough. However, in Persona 3 Reload, progression will be similar to Persona 5 Royal’s Social Links – still challenging, but with significant time to do it.

The Condition System, which could fatigue characters and lower their stats, is also being removed. It should provide players more freedom to investigate Tartarus and plan their days. There will also be conversations between party members while exploring the dungeon’s various floors to liven things up.

Persona 3 Reload is coming in early 2024 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. It’s also listed for Nintendo Switch on various retailer sites, though Atlus hasn’t made it official.
