Milestone loves its motorcycle racing sims, and no series has examplified that better than RIDE in recent years, thanks to a string of solid instalments. Its next outing, RIDE 5, is out a little over a month from now, and in anticipation of its launch, Milestone has released an extensive gameplay video that dives into several improvments and additions that you can expect to see in the game.

RIDE games have tended to pride themselves on their authentic visuals and the attention to detail they exhibit in the rides themselves, and that’s all plain to see in the footage shown off for RIDE 5 as well. The trailer also briefly talks about the game’s customization options, before talking about its new, dynamic weather system and how that will challenge players to change their strategies on the fly, based on the conditions at hand.

The trailer also talks about RIDE 5’s new user interface, its enhanced neural AI, the assists that will be available to players, before going on to detail the game modes on offer, including Career mode (which introduces AI-controlled Rivals), Endurance Races (which will now include mid-race saves and a rewind feature), and the all new Race Creator mode. Check out the trailer below for more details.

RIDE 5 launches on August 23 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
