In December last year, Gun Interactive of Friday the 13th: The Game fame announced The Texas Chain Saw Massacreanother new asymmetrical multiplayer horror game bringing more slasher fun in vein of the studio’s past works. At the recent Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, we got another glimpse of it.

A brief new gameplay trailer for the game has been released, showing glimpses of several locations, weapons, and playable characters, and though there isn’t a ton to unpack, it’s certainly looking intriguing. Fans of multiplayer horror games will probably want to keep an eye on this one.

Meanwhile, it’s also been confirmed that The Texas Chain Saw Massacre will be a cross-gen title, with Sumo Nottingham having been brought onboard to help preserve the game’s gameplay and visual tone while ensuring that it runs well on last-gen hardware.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre will launch sometime in 2023 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, and PC. It will also launch day and date for Game Pass.
