Developer Larian Studios has announced that its recently-launched, massively successful RPG Baldur’s Gate 3 has now been verified for compatibility with the Steam Deck.

This means that the game is now fully playable on the handheld gaming PC, complete with controller support and the in-game interface being legible, as well as automatic configuration of the game’s graphics options.

The news comes on the heels of the game getting its first hotfix, which fixed quite a few bugs and crashes, and most importantly, disabled cross-saving in an effort to fix a bug that prevented players from saving their games.

Baldur’s Gate 3‘s release saw the game seeing quite an impressive number of concurrent players on Steam, with more recent numbers indicating that it crossed the 500,000 concurrent players milestone yesterday.

The game’s success has also seen the developer affirm that it has no plans to be acquired right now, citing the studio’s desire for creative freedom over profit.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently available on PC. A PS5 version is slated to launch on September 6, while a version for Xbox Series X/S is still under development.
